Our store hours are: Tuesday – Friday 10am – 5pm, Saturday 10am – 4pm
Our weekend is currently Sunday/ Monday
How long does it take to get my glasses?
Once you place your order we start the manufacturing process immediately. We expect to have all 3 pairs of glasses ready for you in 7 – 10 business days. For online purchases they’ll be mailed out as soon as they are complete. Shipping usually takes 3-5 business days, but unfortunately that step is out of our control!
Do I need an appointment for an eye test?
We do all eye tests on a drop-in basis and do not require an appointment. We can offer a free sight test whenever you are purchasing eyeglasses to ensure we have the most up to date information to make up the glasses.
Great Glasses is recognized by all major insurance companies and you can apply your insurance coverage towards your purchases with us. Most providers ask that you submit on your own behalf, in which case we will provide you with an invoice after your purchase with all the necessary information. If you shop in-store please ask a team member if your insurance provider will allow us to direct bill for you.
We offer a 2 year extended warranty on all of our frames and lenses. This covers all manufactures defects which may occur.
Should I get Blue Light Protection?
The jury is still out on the efficacy of blue light protection on your glasses. There have been no credible scientific studies which show blue light emitted from normal use of your digital devices causes measurable harm to the eye. For this reason we formally do not recommend spending the extra money for this product. We will update our position if/ when the scientific community presents credible evidence to the contrary. Please consult your medical professionals for individual recommendations.
Whats all the talk about PD?
PD (pupillary distance) is just one measurement we like to use in order to make your glasses for you. In store, our team of optical technicians will take all the necessary measurements. If you’re purchasing online we will send you a link to a digital tool to take all the measurements we need. We have you covered!
Eyeglasses are inherently custom made products and therefore once we start manufacturing the glasses we do not offer refunds. If you purchase your glasses online we will offer you 1 (one) free restyle for any reason (e.g. don’t fit nicely, doesn’t look as good as you thought, etc.).
Shipping & Returns
All purchases made online are subject to a $20 Canada-wide shipping fee. You will be provided with a tracking number the same day as the package is shipped. All returns are made at the shippers expense and can be sent to:

Can I purchase gift cards
As of now, gift cards can be purchased and used in store only. Once we have the digital infrastructure to manage gift cards online we will update the information here first.
Do you donate old glasses?
Yes we do! We have a great relationship with the Lions Club who collects all old eyeglasses. You can donate your glasses at any of our retail locations.
